Young and the Restless Next Week (May 12–16, 2025): Claire and Kyle’s Love Faces Victor’s Wrath

Tensions are rising in Genoa City this week as Claire Grace Newman’s relationship with Kyle Abbott sparks a fierce reaction from Victor Newman. As the couple plans to move in together, Victor is anything but supportive—and he’s ready to do whatever it takes to stop them.
Claire and Kyle’s decision to buy Adam Newman’s apartment together sends Victor into a rage. Claire expected support from Nikki Newman, but instead finds her grandmother trying to calm Victor rather than back Claire’s independence. Nikki warns her that Victor may never accept the relationship, no matter how much time passes.
Despite the pushback, Claire stands firm in her decision. While Nikki questions whether Claire is moving too fast, Claire makes it clear that she knows her own mind. Nikki urges patience with Victor, but also admits that his disapproval may never fade.
Interestingly, Victor is the only family member taking issue with the relationship. The rest of the Newmans are either indifferent or supportive. This leaves Claire feeling isolated in her struggle against Victor’s overbearing control.
Victor attempts to justify his behavior by citing the long-standing rivalry between the Newmans and Abbotts. But in reality, it’s mostly Victor himself who harbors resentment—especially toward Jack Abbott and his son, Kyle. Claire believes this grudge is outdated and unfair.
On Friday’s episode, Victor takes things a step further, confronting Kyle at Jabot and warning him to stay away from Claire. He also pressures Adam not to sell his apartment to the couple. Adam, however, dismisses the drama, saying Claire and Kyle can just find another place.
Kyle grows concerned that Victor’s hostility might drive Claire away, but Claire reassures him that she’s not backing down. She tells Kyle they’ll face Victor together and vows not to let anyone come between them.
Looking ahead, Claire shares a bold new plan with Nikki and Victoria—throwing a birthday party for Nikki in the hopes of softening Victor’s stance. With party planner Pietro (played by Queer Eye’s Jai Rodriguez) entering the picture, Claire seems determined to use this event to build a bridge. But knowing Victor, it may take more than cake and balloons to win him over.
